The purpose of this classification is to perform work functions associated with delivery and warehouse activities. The person in this classification will load/unload trucks and drive delivery truck to deliver merchandise to customer's home or business.
Essential functions include driving trucks in assigned zones or areas to deliver products purchased by customers, ensuring safe operations of vehicles, loading and unloading merchandise, obtaining customer signatures, recording deliveries, monitoring vehicle maintenance, performing general maintenance, upholding company delivery standards, and assisting in other store departments as required.
Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, six months experience in a distribution or warehouse environment, a valid state driver's license, and familiarity with the delivery area. Performance aptitudes include data utilization, human interaction, equipment utilization, verbal aptitude, mathematical aptitude, functional reasoning, and situational reasoning.
